Private health coverage · Licensed advisors · No obligation

You shouldn't need a translator to understand your health insurance.

Rates changed. Plans changed. The calls won't stop. OpenPath is one licensed advisor, one honest conversation, and a clear picture of the private coverage options you actually qualify for — including what each one doesn't cover. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that too.

How it works

One honest conversation. Three steps.

A licensed advisor wearing a headset at her desk, looking directly at the camera with a warm smile.

Tell us about your situation.

Call us, or answer a few quick questions online — either way takes about two minutes.

No exact birthdays, no SSN, no medical records.

Talk it through with a licensed advisor.

Real plans, real numbers for your household — explained in plain English, including the tradeoffs.

Decide on your timeline.

Enroll if it fits. Think it over if you want. Walk away if it's not right. No follow-up pressure either way.

What we cover

Four kinds of coverage. Here's how to tell which one is yours.

You don't need every plan on the market explained — you need the one that fits your situation. Below is what each type of coverage is actually for, what it includes, and where it stops. Give it a minute and you'll walk into the call already knowing which questions are yours to ask.

Private PPO plans

Individuals · Families · Self-employed

Broad-network coverage you can actually use — with the freedom to keep seeing the doctors you already have.

  • Nationwide PPO networks from A-rated carriers
  • No referral needed to see a specialist
  • Coverage for a spouse, kids, or the whole household on one plan
  • Your advisor checks your specific doctors before you commit

Best fit if you want comprehensive coverage and network flexibility.

Short-term medical

Between jobs · Bridging a gap

Flexible-length coverage for the months you need it, without signing up for a year you don't.

  • Coverage can start as soon as the day after enrollment
  • Choose the length that matches your gap
  • Useful while you wait on employer or other coverage to begin
  • Your advisor walks you through the exclusions before you enroll

Short-term plans are not comprehensive coverage and don't cover everything — which is exactly why we explain them line by line.

Medicare plans

Turning 65 · Already on Medicare

If you're 65 or older, you talk to a Medicare-certified licensed agent — not a transfer, and not a dead end.

  • Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans
  • Part D prescription drug coverage
  • New to Medicare, or reviewing what you already have
  • Your prescriptions and doctors checked against the plan before you switch

Handled by our Medicare-certified partner agency. See the disclosure below.

Dental, vision & accident

Add-on coverage

The everyday costs most medical plans leave out — added only if they're worth it for you.

  • Dental and vision coverage that can pair with any core plan
  • Accident coverage for out-of-pocket costs after an injury
  • Priced separately, so you can see exactly what each one adds
  • Skip them entirely if they don't earn their premium

We'll tell you when an add-on isn't worth it. That happens often.

Plans from carriers including

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Molina Healthcare
  • Allstate
  • Altura
  • Everest
  • Pivot Health
  • Advant Care

Carrier availability depends on your state and eligibility. Not all plans are available in all states.

Worth knowing

Where we're not your best option.

  • ACA subsidy enrollment If a subsidized plan is genuinely your best option, we'll say so and point you to HealthCare.gov.
  • Every plan in your area We offer what our licensed agencies are appointed to sell. If what you need isn't on our shelf, we'll tell you where to find it.
  • Anything we can't explain line by line If an advisor can't walk you through what a plan covers and excludes, we don't put it in front of you.
Medicare disclosure: We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
Why one call beats twelve tabs

You could research this for a week. Or ask someone who does it every day.

Online quote engines show you prices. They can't tell you which network your doctor is actually in, how a deductible interacts with your prescriptions, or whether a short-term plan's exclusions matter for your situation. A licensed advisor can — in one conversation, with your real numbers.

A man in his fifties in his kitchen, laughing on the phone, the paperwork finally making sense.

No scripts. No transfer roulette.

One advisor, start to finish — the same person who picks up is the person who explains it.

Straight answers

The questions you're actually asking

Is this free?

Yes. Talking with an advisor costs nothing, and there's no obligation to enroll in anything. Advisors are compensated by insurance carriers when someone chooses a plan — not by charging you.

Is this the ACA marketplace / Obamacare?

No. We help with private PPO and short-term medical plans. If a subsidized plan looks like your best option, we'll tell you and point you in the right direction.

Who will I actually talk to?

A licensed insurance advisor. You can ask for their license number — they'll give it to you.

What kind of plans can I choose from?

Private PPO plans and short-term medical coverage from A-rated national carriers, plus optional dental, vision, and accident coverage. What you qualify for depends on your state, household, and health situation — which is exactly what the call sorts out. Not all plans are available in all states.

Will you spam-call me forever?

No. If you tell us it's not the right fit, that's the end of it. You can revoke contact permission at any time, by any reasonable method, and we honor it.

How fast can coverage start?

Depending on the plan and your eligibility, some coverage can begin as soon as the day after enrollment. Your advisor will give you the exact timeline for anything you're considering.

Ready when you are.

No forms you'll regret. No follow-up you didn't ask for. Just a licensed advisor and a straight answer.
